This FS-RX2A Pro V1 receiver is upgraded version of the FS-RX2A Pro with longer control distance. This is acheved by using better antenna that also has a MCPX connector, so it is replaceable. This RC also has vide power voltage input 5-20V. Failsafe works only on iBUS signal output.

Just like the Fli14+, but with diversity dipole antennas and one of the rare receivers to have iBUS telelemetry capability. To be able to use this feature you’ll have to connect this RX to the FC via small adapter board. Flysky FS-A8S 8CH Mini Receiver with PPM i-BUS SBUS Output

This is the first small original AFHDS2A receiver from Flysky. Their first version had issues with rare brownouts on powerful brushless quads, but no issues were noticed with brushed motors. Also it was impossible to swich to SBUS mode as receiver was always forgetting the setting after power off-power on cycle. It was real shame to release such an anticipated receiver with such a major flaws. Currently Flysky is manufacturing and selling version 2 of this RX with SBUS/iBUS switching fixed, improved casing and probably brownout issue fixed. This RX has failsafe, despite stated as without it, but only in iBUS(SBUS) mode.
Update (2017-08-28): Currently the brownout issues are not fixed with this receiver. We are waiting for the version V3 of this RX. Read the dedicated RCG thread here.

Bind:
1. Press and hold the key on the receiver and connect the power to the receiver. The blue light on the receiver flashing, get into bindind mode.
2, Set the transmitter into bind mode (confirmed AFHDS 2A protocol). After getting into bind mode, the receiver light changes from flashing to slow flash.
3, Transmitter get out of bind mode, then the receiver blue light becomes bright. Indicates that the signal receive is successful.
Failsafe settings:
The receiver can normally receive the transmitter signal, push the rocker to the the failsafe set, long press the receiver bind button, the blue light flashes quickly several times and then always bright , failsafe settings is successful.

This receiver was designed together with UndergroundFPV for Flysky Nirvana NV-14. It has diversity antennas and works in AFHDS 2A protocol. Outputs PPM / i-Bus / S-Bus signals.
No more specs available at the time of writing, but in fact this is the same receiver as Flysky X8B (see below).
Flysky X8B Receiver

Flysky X8B receiver has appeared at the same time as IA8X receiver (see below). It is an updated version of the X6B receiver, slightly smaller, lighter, has one connector for PPM/iBUS output, but does not have PWM outputs. There can be some confusion the number of supported channels, as iBUS allows up to 18 channels and user manual says that X8B receiver supports only 8 channels. This is true only for PPM output, iBUS outputs up to 18 channels. Just need to find the Flysky radio with such a number of channels.

Flysky X6B 2.4G 6CH i-BUS PPM PWM Receiver for AFHDS i10 i6s i6 i6x i4x Transmitter
AFHDS 2A receiver with autobind function. Receiver tries to bind automatically every time it is powered on. It has failsafe, so can be used outside withour a fear of flying away of your aircraft.
According to some published descriptions, the failsafe works only in PWM mode, not PPM nor iBUS which is a huge drawback. Maybe you can check and fix the description.

For Flysky X6B receiver you need to do this:

this receiver has failsafe. But it’s not the type of failsafe like on Taranis radios (or FrSky receivers), where receiver starts sending NO PULSE data. Instead, this receiver starts sending predetermined set of channel outputs, which Betaflight or iNav flight controller understands, and considers as failsafe scenario. To configure failsafe on FlySky receivers, you need to go to System Settings -> RX setup -> Failsafe on FlySky receiver, and select output by channels, which receiver must give out to FC in case it loses connection with radio. Press OK button to go into each channel, then switch corresponding channel from OFF to ON with up-down buttons. Select desired value with corresponding stick or switch, then press OK button to go back to failsafe menu. Once all needed channels are configured – long-press CANCEL button to save the settings and go back to previous menu. For Betaflight to enable Failsafe, you need to set Throttle to 0% (typicaly CH3) and Arm switch to 0% (typicaly CH5). I also set separate beeper switch to CH6, and set it to 100% in Failsafe, so that my model starts beeping at once. For iNav falisafe you need to set Throttle to 0% (on CH3), roll-pitch-yaw (CH1, CH2 and CH4) to 50%, Arm switch (CH5) to 0%. iNav recognizes such combination of inputs as failsafe, and will return your copter/wing back to you, if you have RTH configured correctly.”

Those receiver don’t bind with FS-i6S transmitter. I bought and tried the First 4 receiver in your list and none of them were able o bind with the FS-i6s transmitter. (I tried 2 different transmitter mine and a friend’s on )

I have watched your first video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWyDSVbdHHs) and you have showed a successful binding procedure! In fact these receivers are one-way communication (no feedback, no telemetry to the transmitter) so your transmitter doesn’t know wheater your RX is bound or not. Also you will not have a voltage readings on your TX. I see that Your RX was successufuly bound and have solid light on. Have you tried to check further by connecting your RX to the FC?
Edit: Watched Your third video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRprQSDIs8c) and yes, FS-iA6B has battery voltage telemetry, that’s why you see battery voltage, also you will see the sucessfull binding procedure information on your TX as this receiver has two-way communication protocol.
These small receivers (including th original Flysky FS-A8S) don’t have telemetry uplink to the transmitter. As far as I know only FS-iA4B, FS-iA6B, FS-iA6C and FSiA10B receivers have telemetry.
FS-X6B also has battery voltage telemetry
Yes, but it has limited voltage range.
I just put the FS-RX2A, the first one in the list, in a small build and it works great with my FS-I6S.

SmartAudio is a communication protocol between the FC (Flight Controller) and VTX (Video transmitter). Betaflight firmware has ability to control the VTX parameters via SmartAudio. To use SmartAudio you need to connect the VTX SmartAudio pin to TX pin of any UART port on the FC. SmartAudio will work via CLI commands, Betaflight OSD and LUA scripts. For LUA script to work, you need the FrSky receiver with SmartPort telemetry working. Betaflight OSD SmartAudio control works with any receiver. So the answer is you can use SmartAudio with any Flysky receiver.
Which one is the best? One that’s smaller then x6b.
Flysky X8B is the newest original Flysky RX, has dual antennas, but lacks the RSSI. Fli14+ has dual antennas, RSSI on 14ch, but have reports on poor range. There is no such thing as perfect receiver :).
The x6b also supports Sbus but it’s never mentioned in the specs. I run it on Sbus.
How do you enable SBUS signal on X6B? User manual does not mention anything about this.
you just change to SBUS protocol on your transmitter and X6B will output SBUS on the IBUS port.

One thing the Flysky basic set doesn t have, is receivers with fail safe. After Havning your drone just bring Carried away once, the fun dissapears.
Most of the Flysky receivers have failsafe. Some of them require setting up the failsafe at the TX, some of them dont have failsafe on PPM and only a few does not have failsafe at all.
I wouldn’t recommend to fly anything without failsafe.
You should check regularly if the failsafe works ok on your aircraft.

Hello Montis, good information for those of us who have flysky stations, I tell you that I was about to buy the FS-X14S receiver, but I did not do it because as you say it does not have RSSI output although the range is good 1500m in the air.
but I was looking for and found this Oversky XR602T-A receiver (https://es.aliexpress.com/item/4000183007797.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.2ef32e0el8njIx) says it has 2km range (personally I doubt it very much). My question is if you have heard about this receiver? I will be attentive to your response. Thank you.

Oversky (or Crossover RX) XR602T-A receiver is more expensive than FS-X14S, but the specs look good. Both receivers lack of the reviews and real world tests. I have received the FS-X14S receiver and will probably make the review on it. Also my goal is to try to modify the firmware (with the help of the more clever people) to add the RSSI. So the answer to your question: Oversky XR602T-A – I have no experience with it (yet), it is more expensive. Flysky FS-X14S – original Flysky product, cheaper but needs RSSI.

I bought the XR-602T-A to use on my new Twig + Flysky NV14 transmitter.
3rd flight and did a 1-2 sec punch out.
Lost signal at approx 200m and couldnt pull the quad back.
Tried disarm but quad just climbed into the clouds.
Never saw it again.

That’s strange. They have LNA and diversity antennas. Seems to have some issues?

I tried fs14+ and i loved the rssi feature, but i got faillsafe in 30 m when the quad was behind me and at about 150- 180m in open field, in front of me. Thank you!
Hmm, I haven’t tested of flown Flysky receivers for Long Range therefore I can’t give a good advice. A few things: you should definitely look for a receiver with dual (diversity) antennas. Those most likely have PA/LNA (amplifier) for longer range. I have an eye on this receiver: X14S (Link on Banggood: http://bit.ly/Banggood-Flysky-FS-X14S-14ch-Receiver). It is the newest original Flysky receiver with the promised 500 ~ 1500m range.

Unfortunately many of the RC product companies dont even know what customers want, they dont even know how to collect the feedback from them and they don’t listen. Probably it is a cultural thing. Many of them dont even fly these damn products, just produce them, LOL.

None of the listed Flysky receivers provide telemetry back, except the Flit10 receiver. Moreover none of the listed Flysky receivers provide the RSSI info except the Fli14, Fli14+ and Flit10. However you can flash the custom firmware to the many of the Flysky receivers to enable the RSSI info on one of the channels. Read this .
If you need RSSI info and you are ok with the additional efforts to flash the custom firmware, then I would recommend the original Flysky FS-X14S receiver with the diversity antennas.
If you don’t want to fiddle with the flashing of the firmware to the receivers, then the only option is to go for the Fli14+, that outputs RSSI on channel 14 and has diversity antennas. But users report shorter range for this receiver than stated in the specs (read the comments below).

FS-i6 transmitter works with all Flysky receivers that work on AFHDS and AFHDS 2A protocols. This means almost all of them. FS-i6 is a good radio, I’ve enjoyed using it for a few years, later I’ve switched to Jumper T12 radio.
