In reply to Nikotttin. Happymodel EP1 Dual RX firmware is supported only in V3.0 and up. The EP1 Dual receiver has ESP32 as main MCU, while the EP1 and other receivers has ESP8285. I'm waiting for the Betaflight with 3.0 ELRS support for SPI receivers also.

Any idea if one can run this with the version 2.x of the Elrs firmware? I don’t feel like upgrading until the spi situation is dealt with ??

In reply to Ciol. I have no clue, but have forwarded your question to Happymodel. Thinking about the EP2 Dual - it would not benefit much from two smd antennas oriented in the same way and located one next to other. External dipole antennas are much much better and you can install them in diferent orientations for more chances of getting good signal.
